Earlier in his career, David spent two years as North America Business Reporter for BBC News Online and got his start in business journalism working for Knight-Ridder Financial News, a newswire service in Washington, D.C. 

David is an alumnus of the Dow Jones Newspaper Fund and was a 2022 Goldschmidt FRED Fellow.
